Nitya Chowdhary, designer, along with her husband, Jayant Chowdhary, social entrepreneur, launched a clothing line, 9CDesign Co. Together they have taken their experiences in fashion design, manufacturing, and textile design to create a luxury lifestyle brand. 9CDesign Co. creates modern silhouettes designed with limited edition, unique and vibrant prints for women that can be worn from day to evening. The duo strategically creates and designs pieces that not only are trendy but are timeless.

Before launching their company, they both had experience within the design realm. Nitya graduated from the prestigious National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kolkata. She was a key member of Anamika Khanna’s original design staff who worked on loads of successful designs consisting of costume design for 2010 Bollywood Blockbuster Aisha. She subsequently moved to London for her specialization degree from the London College of Fashion. Her work experience includes eponymous label OSMAN STUDIO popularly known for its Hollywood A-Listers clientele before launching her fashion store.

The duo has built a career in fashion, and the secret of their success is the unique styling and finesse they entail to each piece making it nothing less than a luxury. 9C Design Co. has become a sought-after brand known for stunning ready-to-wear, resort wear, sensible fashion, and evening wear. Along With the ensemble, they have also introduced a wide range of Handwoven Scarves that can be styled in multiple ways; along with clutches that can go with various dresses.

Jayant has been advocating social entrepreneurship with 9C Design Co. He plans to implement this idea towards mainstream ethical fashion to make it accessible to everyone.
